About Caravan Theft Alerts

Caravan Theft AlertsCaravan Theft Alerts is the brainchild of Club Care Insurance. As touring caravan insurance experts we are constantly looking for initiatives and ways to make things easier for caravanners. When analysing our claims data we were encouraged to see that the number of caravans being stolen each year continues to decline.

However, from our findings we were disappointed to find that only 3% of stolen caravans were being recovered, indicating that if you were one of the unlucky ones to have their caravan stolen, there was very little chance of you getting it back!

At Club Care we recognise that it isn’t just the caravan that you want back if you are a victim of theft, but all the personal possessions that you have inside it too. This is why we have created the Caravan Theft Alerts system; so that we can engage a wider audience to help recover your caravan and return it as quickly as possible.

We work in co-operation with all parties engaged in caravan theft prevention and specifically AVCIS – the ACPO Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service - to channel stolen caravan information and potential sightings directly to the control rooms of major UK police forces.

Although Caravan Theft Alerts is owned and operated by Club Care Insurance, other UK caravan insurers are able to use the system to help recover their inventory of stolen units and rewards offered for information leading to recovery may differ according to the insurer concerned.

If you have any queries concerning the Caravan Theft Alerts system or if you are an insurer wishing to make use of its features, please contact us.
